After careful deliberation, the Board has agreed a proposal by our Course Manager, Garry Foster, to undertake some remedial scarification and re-seeding of the most badly affected parts of the fairways. The work, which will involve approximately 5 hectares of the course, will be undertaken by contractors over a period of 2 days.

This work is planned for Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd September 2020. During this time the course and clubhouse will be CLOSED. The dates we have chosen represent a balance between the need for action during the right growing conditions and the wish to minimise the impact on planned events/competitions.

Please see the attachment, in Question and Answer format, which gives full details of the rationale, process and impact of this work.

Details can also be found in:

ClubV1 Members Hub > Club >Documents > Greens/2020.07.27 Fairway Improvement Plan

During this closure period, it is hoped that members will join a volunteer party to do some tidying and divot-repair work out on the course. More details later.
